Is getting yourself out there and trying some new, fun, exciting activities part of your New Year's Resolutions? Well here’s your chance to make it happen.

Strap your roller boots on and skate the night away as The Union is transformed into a funky roller disco! The evening is split into 3, hour-long sessions for you to choose from, whilst we deliver the best tunes to keep you singing and dancing all-night long.

 

What you need to know:

- Location: The Union, Main Hall

- Date: Tuesday 23 January

- Time: 18:00 – 19:00, 19:30 – 20:30, 21:00 – 22:00

- Tickets: £3 - buy your tickets on the door

- Skates and protective gear are provided with your ticket

 

🕺Who can come?

Anyone who’s bought a ticket to this event is welcome, Manchester Met student or not! Bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.

 

↖️ Where should I go?

Upon arrival at the Main Hall you’ll be asked to show your ticket to a member of staff who will then direct you into the hall where you can grab your skates.

 

🎟️ Do I need a ticket?

Yes, tickets are £3 and available to buy online before the event. 

On the day, tickets will be available on the door, so make sure to get there on time to avoid missing out!

🎪 What’s the Main Hall like?

The Union’s Main Hall is a large space - all furniture will be cleared, and barriers placed along the outside of the room to create the roller rink.

 

🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?

We encourage everyone to take it at their own pace, it’ll be a friendly and chilled atmosphere.

 

🍕 Will there be food and drink available?

The bar will be closed for this event. Water fountains are available within The Union, located on every floor, including one just outside the entrance to The Main Hall.

 

📆 Will this event happen regularly?

Keep your eyes peeled as the roller disco is a regular event at The Union, so you experience the fun all over again!

 

♿️ Is the event accessible for all?

The Main Hall is situated on the ground floor and is accessible for all. However, due to loud speakers and flashing lights, this type of atmosphere may be unsuitable for those with hearing or sight sensitivities.
