Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
We want to assure all that the University’s Student Services team will be contacting all Ukrainian and Russian students from Manchester Met today (25 Feb). These students will be guided and signposted personally to the relevant support services available. Further support is available to any student who feels affected.
Advice and support from The Union, Manchester Met and local services will be outlined in this article.
+ Manchester Met has a team of qualified counsellors and wellbeing advisors. These counsellors offer one-to-one sessions, as well as all wellbeing and mental health advice. The team can be contacted via telephone on 0161 247 3493 or email.
+ As a student at Manchester Met, you automatically have access to the TogetherAll Platform. A service that offers 24/7 mental health support, as well as a safe space to talk with your peers.
+ If you’d benefit from religious support, the University’s Chaplains provide support to students both of and of no faith. In addition to this, St. Peter’s House is home to Chaplains of various faiths to offer additional support.
+ If you are feeling overwhelmed and aren’t sure where to go for support – head towards the University’s Wellbeing Support Questionnaire. The service will assess your situation and guide you to the most appropriate resource/support.

+ If you want to get involved in showing support to Ukraine, Aahh! Magazine at Manchester Met are hosting student meetings every week for people to participate in supporting Ukraine. Find out how you can get involved on their website.
