Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
Want to meet new people who share your interests, or fancy getting involved in something completely new? There are loads of student-led clubs and societies, from culture and faith groups to hobbies and interests, as well as a range of sports clubs — there’s something for everyone.
Online
Once you get to University and you have your email and student number, go to The Union’s website and sign up as a student. Then, you can search for the group you want to join and pay for your membership online.
In person
You can go into the Opportunities office on the first floor of The Union — speak to one of the staff members and they can help you join. You can also pay on Met Card in the office.
Start your own
If you don’t see something that you think is for you, you can always start your own club or society. Go to the Opportunities office and speak to them or fill out the form online and someone will get in touch to help you get the ball rolling.
