Self service hot food station with sink and microwave

We’re so excited to announce the opening of our brand-new Heat & Eat Station!

🤔What’s in the Heat & Eat Station?

Located on the second floor of The Union, the kitchen comes equipped with:

  • Four microwaves to quickly heat your meals
  • A boiling water tap, perfect for making tea, coffee, or instant snacks
  • A sink for easy clean-up, ensuring the space stays tidy for everyone

The space is the perfect combo of convenience and comfort, so make sure to pop up to the second floor to warm up your lunch and relax.

💻The Perfect Productivity Spot

Right next to the Heat & Eat Station is The Study. Whether you’re catching up on assignments or just need a peaceful break, it’s the ideal spot. Here you can enjoy your meal and keep productive.

🍛Meal Deals at The Shop

Forgot to pack lunch? No problem!

The Shop on the ground floor of The Union has all the microwavable meals you could need. Not to mention they have Tanpopo’s Katsu Curry too.

💛Why We Created This Space

With costs rising we get how hard budgeting can be. By giving access to microwaves and boiling water, we’re making it easier for you to enjoy meals affordably, whether you’re heating up a packed lunch or choosing a microwavable option from The Shop.

But the Heat & Eat Station isn’t just about convenience—it’s about community. Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack between lectures or enjoying a hot meal with friends, this space is designed to bring students together in a chill, welcoming environment.

🍴How to Use the Heat & Eat Station

The Heat & Eat Station is available to all students. Simply bring your food or grab a microwavable meal from The Union shop, heat it up, and enjoy! Please remember to clean up after yourself to keep the space welcoming for everyone.

🫶A Special Thanks

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible work of Shazeaa, our previous Societies and Development Officer (2022–2024). Thanks to their dedication, we now have a fantastic facility that prioritizes student well-being and encourages sustainable living.
