Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
We’re so excited to introduce Union Cupboard—a community-driven project from your President, Leila Enoki, designed to make student life a little easier (and a lot more sustainable🌍💚).
We gather items that people no longer need and give them away to students who could use them. Think thrift shop vibes, but completely FREE 🤑💃
Just pop by, browse, and take what you want! And don’t worry—you don’t have to bring anything to take something. Just come as you are and help yourself to what you need!🙌
Union Cupboard isn’t just about free stuff (I mean who doesn’t love that). It’s also about building a supportive community at Man Met where students help each other, reduce waste, and make life a bit easier for everyone.
By coming together to share what we have, we’re creating a stronger, greener campus that looks out for everyone💚✨
The campaign aligns perfectly with the key priorities of our student officers:
Community and Belonging: Union Cupboard aims to make it easier for students to connect and build a stronger sense of community at Man Met. It’s a place where you can meet others while finding what you need!
Student Money: Financial barriers shouldn’t get in the way of students thriving at uni. Union Cupboard helps to ease some of that financial burden by providing stuff that students may need or even just want.
Wanting to donate? Here’s what we’re looking for:
To make sure everyone gets a safe and enjoyable experience, please make sure any items donated are clean and in good condition🧼
Here's where you can take your donations:
So, join us in building a community that cares! Whether you’re looking to give a little or grab some stuff, Union Cupboard is here for you.
Let’s make Manchester Met a friendlier, greener place to be, one item at a time🌱💚
