Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
On 23 of November, we held our first 'It’s OK' session, where we made advent calendars. We had a great mix of people attending, whether it was to meet some new people, do something creative or to alleviate some stress.
Being creative can be a great outlet for relieving stress and boost your sense of wellbeing. The It’s OK sessions have been focusing on doing fun creative activities in a safe and welcoming environment. The sessions are also a great way to meet new people and anyone who may be going through similar situations to yourself. Remember you are never alone!
However, if you missed out, never fear, we are holding a catch up session on the 12 December from 17:00 in Reception at The Union. We will be crafting advent calendars again, making Christmas Cards or whatever your imagination can think of.
We also have an event in January with The Comedy Trust focusing around men’s mental health, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Hope to see you there!
Lily
