Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
Pride runs from 25 August across the whole weekend, and is all about coming together and celebrating the diversity and vibrancy of our city. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* students as well as students of all sexual orientation or gender can get involved.
We are looking for a design to go on posters, banners and other materials that will encourage students and staff to be part of the Manchester Met parade entry and float, marching together to show we are #ManMetProud.
+ Eye-catching, so people want to see what it says
+ Innovative and unique
+ Represent this year’s Pride theme of Class of 2017: The Graduation Parade
+ Encouraging everyone to join – whether they are LGBTQ, an ally, friend or family member
+ The design can include the hashtag #ManMetProud if you want it to
+ A minimum A4 in design size (the design will potentially be used on posters, t-shirts and and banners, so we are looking for good picture quality such as 300 DPI)
The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on July 5.
The LGBT+ Society Committee will be judging submissions with a vote for the most popular design, and we will feature everything we receive on our Twitter to celebrate and display your incredible talent!
Results will be announced on July 7, and if you have been successful we will send you an email to let you know.
Send your submission to Molly Maher, Campaigns Co-ordinator, before the deadline.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
If you want to get involved in Pride 2017 and be part of the parade with #ManMetProud, check out this Eventbrite link.
