From Monday 03 March it’s Sexual Guidance and Health (SHAG) week here at The Union.
A massive part of this week is making sure you know where you can get help and advice concerning your sexual health. From free condoms and emergency contraception to STI testing and advice, there are loads of places in Manchester that can support your sexual health.
Whether you visit a clinic, pharmacy, or your university health service, the following services are free, confidential, and designed to make it easy for you to access the care you need.
For students, there are loads of places that provide free emergency contraception and condoms:
Find a participating pharmacy: NHS Emergency Contraception
Offers free walk in service for emergency contraception and emergency prescriptions
The union provides free condoms at reception.
Brook provides free condoms, including C-Card schemes, and emergency contraception services tailored to young adults under 25.
The LGBT Foundation offers free condoms, femidoms and lube packs, which you can pick up at their centre or order discreetly online for delivery.
The Northern Service provides a comprehensive range of services, including STI testing, contraception, and HIV care.

Specialising in services for young people, Brook offers STI testing, contraception advice, and pregnancy support for under 19.
Free sexual health clinics are available to all individuals, offering STI testing, contraception, and sexual health advice.
