Write a note to your future self and check back in during Semester 2. Part of The Student Self Care Movement.
The reception and Main Hall in The Union were transformed into a dazzling space filled with blue and orange balloons and fairy lights. With over 350 students attending, guests were treated to a three course meal.
May Ellie Crick, also known as ‘Girl on Sax’ and a graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music, gave a rousing performance entertaining guests as the event went on into the evening. 19 students received their MMU Sports Colours, and 26 students graduating this year received their Club Colours.
Also presented was the Brownhill Evans Memorial Award, created in memory of James Brownhill and David Evans. Both young men were active members of a number of clubs within Opportunities at The Union, and were sadly killed in a fall while climbing close to Chamonix, France in July 2011. The award recognises an individual who has shown outstanding commitment and contributions to multiple clubs.
