Friday 07-03-2025 - 08:00

Time is running out! Nominations for the 2025 Teaching Awards close on Friday 14 March, so if you haven’t already submitted your nominations, now is the time!

The Teaching Awards is an annual event hosted by The Union, celebrating the incredible staff at Manchester Met who go above and beyond to make your university experience truly unforgettable.

Every year, we receive nominations from students who want to give back to those who have made a real difference in their studies, career prospects, and overall university journey.

Whether it's a teacher who has made their subject come alive, a department that fosters a sense of community, or a supervisor who has gone the extra mile, now is your chance to show your appreciation.

9 Award Categories to Choose From:

+ Teacher of the Year

+ Course of the Year

+ Department of the Year

+ Outstanding Teaching for Employability

+ Outstanding Teaching for Sustainability

+ Supervisor of the year

+ Outstanding Commitment to Inclusive Learning and Teaching

+ Outstanding Commitment to Student Wellbeing and Support

+ Outstanding Technician

Unsure which award you want to nominate someone for? Have a read of the judging criteria. You can nominate in as many categories as you like.

The judging panel is looking for heartfelt, personal stories about how a staff member has positively impacted your university experience. The more personal and detailed your nomination, the better!

So, when you’re nominating, have a think about how this person has affected your experience, your life at Manchester Met, and your future.

Don't miss this opportunity to say thank you to those who have made a difference.
