Your candidates for 2025 Student Officer Elections have been announced. Come take a look.
Teaching Awards is an annual event by The Union, designed to give you the chance to share some love amongst the staff at the University who’ve made your time here amazing.
Every year we open nominations for a month, which ends in a glitzy red-carpet celebration in The Union’s Main Hall.
There are thousands of staff members at Manchester Met who put their heart into their work, and into making sure your university experience is the best it can be.
It’s not just your university experience that they work hard for either, they work hard to make sure you’ve got the best possible employability skills to take with you when you leave us.
Nominations for this year’s awards are now open and will close on Friday 14 March.
Your submissions are your chance to give back to any staff member that’s stood out to you throughout your course.
There’re 9 categories to choose from (and yes, you can nominate in them all, not just one), including:
+ Outstanding Teaching for Employability
+ Outstanding Teaching for Sustainability
+ Outstanding Commitment to Inclusive Learning and Teaching
+ Outstanding Commitment to Student Wellbeing and Support
Unsure which award you want to nominate someone for? Have a read of the judging criteria.
We want to pass on the best possible nominations to your teachers, and the judging panel will be looking for the most personal stories from you guys to help them make their decision.
So, when you’re nominating, have a think about how this person has affected your experience, your life at Manchester Met, and your future.
Get your submissions in and share the love.
