It's Transgender Awareness Week this week, so here's all the information you need on what it is, any support you may need, and how you can get involved at The Union.
Every year between November 13 ā 19, people and organisations around the country take part in Transgender Awareness Week. The week is to help raise awareness and visibility for transgender people and address issues members of the community face.
Itās also for members of the community and their allies to act, bring attention to, and educate the public on topics within the community. The topics include prejudice, discrimination, and violence.
Attention is brought to this through sharing stories and experiences and letting the public know more about trans lives.
