"Inspired by Stephen Burt’s poem, For Lindsay Whalen, a piece which showcases the immense skill and determination of a famous WNBA veteran, these images embody the strength that sportswomen hold. Women's basketball is a proudly queer space, with about 20% of players being publicly out, making it one of the highest percentages of any professional sport in the world. It is a place in which I feel safe to be myself so I can focus on improving my game and most importantly, having fun! Made using risograph printing, the vibrant colours and bold shapes in these posters aim to spark excitement and empowerment within the viewer."
