The one everyone’s been waiting for, Manchester Met’s Freshers Fair! Held at Sugden Sports centre just across the road from campus, turn up whenever suits you and make your way around the fair, collecting as many freebies as you can get your hands on. Snap a pic in the photobooth, grab some free pizza from Dominos, chat with our incredible MMU sports teams, and learn about our amazing clubs & societies from the members themselves. Oh, and of course snatch up some student discounts from both local and national brands whilst you’re here!

What you need to know:

- Times: 10:30 – 16:00

- No tickets needed for this event, just turn up

- Photobooth, Dominos Pizza, activities & loads of freebies

 

🕺Who can come?

Freshers Fair is open to everyone, Manchester Met student or not! No need to book a ticket, just turn up and bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.

 

🎪 What’s the venue like?

Sugden is located just across from campus on Oxford Road and is a huge sports centre. The fair will be set up across the ground floor with over 100 stalls to explore, plus even more outside the venue entrance.

 

🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?

There’ll be lots of people visiting the fair and it’s definitely an interactive experience, but you can take it at your own pace and explore the stalls at your own leisure.

 

🍕 Will there be food and drink available?

Various food stalls will be present on the day, make sure to grab a free slice from Dominos! There’s multiple water stations dotted around Sugden which can be used to re-fill water bottles/cups.

 

📆 Will this event happen regularly?

Freshers Fair runs over two days, Tuesday 26 & Wednesday 27 September. But don’t worry, if you want to re-live the fun later in the year, you can visit the annual Refresher Fair in January.

 

♿️ Is the event accessible for all?

Sugden Sports Centre is fully accessible for all, our event is situated on the ground floor.

There’ll be plenty of Welcome Reps on hand to help you if you need it, both inside and outside of the venue.
