This one’s for all the beer-lovers out there🍺 Join us at The Sal and meet beer experts from our favourite breweries who’re on hand to talk about their work. We'll have reps from Lucky Saint, Beavertown, and Erdinger on site to discuss their products and the alcohol-free industry. Let your curiosity wonder as they’re here to answer any questions you might have, plus there might even be some tasters and one or two freebies on offer!

🕺Who can come?

Anyone who’s booked a ticket to this event is welcome, Manchester Met student or not. Bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.

 

🎪 What’s The Sal like?

The Sal is our on-campus pub and is one of Manchester’s most historic. A relaxing space with vintage and homely décor, it even has a secret beer garden. This event will take place in the main pub space on the ground floor, but there’s also another floor you can book for events and socials.

 

🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?

This is an extremely chilled and relaxed event; you can come and go as you please or even just sit and drink as normal – whatever suits you best.

 

🍕 Will there be food and drink available?

The bar will be open throughout the evening serving alcoholic and soft drinks, last orders half an hour before closing. The kitchen is open 12:00 – 20:00, so there’s plenty of time for you sit and grab a bite to eat too.

 

🥤 Are non-alcohol drinkers welcome?

Of course, everyone’s welcome and there are plenty of non-alcoholic drink options available.

 

♿️ Is the event accessible for all?

This event is situated on the ground floor of The Sal, there’s level access through the beer garden entrance. Be aware that there’re sloped floors throughout the ground level which may be unsuitable for some.
