Strap your roller boots on and skate the night away as The Union is transformed into a Super Funk Roller Disco! The evening is split into three, hour-long sessions for you to choose from, whilst an on-stage DJ delivers the best disco tunes to keep you singing and dancing all-night long.

What you need to know:

- Location: The Union, Main Hall

- Sessions: 19:00 – 20:00, 20:30 – 21:30, 22:00 – 23:00

- Tickets: £3 online, some tickets will be available on the door, select your session at checkout

🕺Who can come?

Anyone who’s bought a ticket to this event is welcome, Manchester Met student or not! Bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.

 

 

🎪 What’s the Main Hall like?

The Union’s Main Hall is a large space - all furniture will be cleared, and barriers placed along the outside of the room to create the roller rink.

 

🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?

Expect loud music from the DJ, and an active crowd as everyone skates around. We encourage everyone to take it at their own pace, so it’ll be a friendly and chilled atmosphere.

 

🍕 Will there be food and drink available?

The bar will be closed for this event. Water fountains are available within The Union, located on every floor, including one just outside the entrance to The Main Hall.

 

📆 Will this event happen regularly?

Keep your eyes peeled as the roller disco is a regular event at The Union, so you experience the fun all over again.

 

♿️ Is the event accessible for all?

The Main Hall is situated on the ground floor and is accessible for all. However, due to loud speakers and flashing lights, this type of atmosphere may be unsuitable for those with hearing or sight sensitivities.

There’ll be Welcome Reps on hand in The Union reception to help you if you need it.
