Want to try something new and exciting? Or maybe you’re already a skating expert and want to show off your skills? Well, our Roller Disco is back and is the perfect event for beginners, pro skaters, and people just looking to have a bit of fun - you don’t want to miss it 🛼
Strap your roller boots on and skate the night away as The Union is transformed into a Superfunk Roller Disco! The evening is split into 3, hour-long sessions for you to choose from, whilst we deliver the best tunes to keep you skating, singing and dancing all-night long.
Don’t worry if you’re not a pro, all abilities are welcome and we’ll provide you with the skates and all the safety gear you need. And with tickets being just £3, what are you waiting for? Book now before it’s too late 🛼

🎟️ Do I need a ticket?
Yes, tickets are limited so you can pre-book online now for just £3 to secure a spot. And don't forget to bring your Student ID to be scanned on arrival.
You may be granted entry on the door depending on availability, but we recommend booking online to avoid disappointment!
🕺Who can come?
Everyone is welcome, bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.
🎪 What’s the Main Hall like?
The Union’s Main Hall is a large space - all furniture will be cleared, and barriers placed along the outside of the room to create the roller rink.
🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?
We encourage everyone to take it at their own pace, so it’ll be a friendly atmosphere filled with music, skating and dancing (it is a disco after all) 🕺.
🍕 Will there be food and drink available?
The bar will be closed for this event. Water fountains are available within The Union, located on every floor, including one just outside the entrance to The Main Hall.
📆 Will this event happen regularly?
Keep your eyes peeled as the roller disco is a regular event at The Union, so you can experience the fun all over again!
♿️ Is the event accessible for all?
The Main Hall is situated on the ground floor and is accessible for all. However, due to loud speakers and flashing lights, this type of atmosphere may be unsuitable for those with hearing or sight sensitivities.
Our reception team will be on hand to help you if you need it.

- Refunds are only available up to 48 hours before the event start time. We cannot process ticket refunds after this point
- Once purchased, your ticket cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold
- Admission will not be given to the event without a valid ticket unless the event is explicitly non-ticketed
- For the safety of our visitors, The Union, MMU reserves the right to refuse admission, and may, on occasion conduct security searches
- The Union, MMU reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets
- The Union, MMU cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property that you bring to the event
- Personal arrangements you make concerning the event, for example travel and accommodation costs, are made at your own risk, and The Union, MMU cannot be held financially responsible for any losses
- The Union, MMU will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by, suffered, or incurred by the visitors, which include:
- Breakdown of machinery or equipment
- Failure of supply of electricity or other utilities, leakage of water, fire, flood & explosion
- Strike or labour dispute, external road or building works, Government controls, restrictions or prohibitions or any other Government act or omission whether local or national
- Act of terrorism or any circumstances outside the control of The Union, MMU which may cause the event to be interrupted or cancelled
- CCTV is active for security purposes during the event and visitors may also be filmed or recorded for promotional content
- We may use your email address to specifically contact you about any changes to the event (e.g. rescheduling or cancellation). 11. All events are restricted to age 18+ unless specifically noted on the event page. All guests are required to provide proof of age if asked by the security staff. You can be refused entry if you don’t provide an ID. Acceptable forms of ID: a photo driving licence, passport, or proof of age card (such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme).
