Hello and welcome to the Catholic Society!

We are a society aimed at both creating a shared space for Catholic students at Manchester Metropolitan but also as a place for non-Catholic students to find out more about Catholicism. We work closely with both the UoM CathSoc and the Manchester Universities Catholic Chaplaincy at Holy Name Church on Oxford Road (opposite UoM Student Union) to organise socials, events, retreats, and other meetings and activities to participate in through the year. If you'd like to be part of the society please do join both formally through here on the Union website and through our Whatsapp ( https://chat.whatsapp.com/KOXKbnMAiLZ14Rac1ne8X0 ) for easier communication and information about the society. For more information about the Catholic Chaplaincy itself run by the Jesuits, please go to the website provided: https://www.muscc.org/. The in-person Chaplaincy is now also open and there are plenty interesting and exciting opportunities and information, especially for the RCIA programme in October if you would like to be received, confirmed, or baptised into the Catholic faith.
