Thinking of visiting us over the next few weeks? Check out our latest opening times, first.
Hey everyone! Welcome to the official MMU Jerma985 Society!
This is the place to be if you want to meet a bunch of silly positive people who just want to have fun and be kind to one another!
Our focus is based on Jerma's philosophy of people being the best versions of themselves they can be. He promotes positivity, creativity, and having as much fun as possible while being true to yourself. We wanted to create an environment that embraces these beliefs. (So no, this is not some kind of cult despite perhaps seeming so on surface)! Our activities and events throughout the year will be inspired by things Jerma has said or done on his streams.
Feel free to join our Discord where you can share memes (Jerma or otherwise) and meet some other VERY cool people to hang out with!
You are welcome to join if you like the sound of the society even if you haven't watched any of Jerma's content. We already have members in the Discord who do not watch Jerma :)

Had a search through all our societies and can’t find the one you’re looking for? Why not set it up yourself!
It’s really easy and we’re here to support you throughout.
Some societies are free to join, whilst others may have a small fee of around £5 to £10 for the whole year.
Your joining fees are then used to cover the running of the society (sometimes there’ll be extra costs if the society offers classes, special events or trips).
Any questions? Drop the society a message or speak to us.
Current Manchester Met students are welcome to join our societies all year round.
Freshers Fair is a particularly great opportunity for you to meet and join our societies in person.
For existing societies, committee members are chosen by members of the society through an online election. Elections take place in March ready for the upcoming academic year, and the role of committee member runs from July to June.
For new societies, the founding members choose their committee to get started.
Fill out this booking form, giving at least one week’s notice to ensure the room is secured. You can request any bookable space in The Union or the University, but first make sure to check the building’s opening hours.
You should definitely wait for confirmation of your booking before spreading the word to your society members.
Got questions? Call our reception team on 0161 247 1162.
