Student Officer Elections 2025: Nominations are now open, get yourself in the running.
As an independent registered Charity, The Union’s finances are independently audited each year by an external firm – Daines Auditors.
The full versions of our audited accounts and Trustee Report are available to view online. You’ll notice that for accounting purposes, The Union’s accounts are split so that you can see the trading and commercial activity of The Union separately.
These documents are also available via the Charity Commission and Companies House.
In the most recent accounting year, The Union chose to affiliate to the National Union of Students for a fee of £37,500.
You can find more information about this within the audit report, and more information about NUS at nus.org.uk.
As a registered student here at Manchester Met, the good news is that you are automatically granted membership of The Union.
Your membership gives you access to all our services and activities.
If you would rather not be a member of The Union, you can ‘opt-out’ of your membership by emailing the University Registrar or the CEO of The Union, Rhiannon Roberts.
