Your candidates for 2025 Student Officer Elections have been announced. Come take a look.
Are you a current MMU Student interested in taking up a placement role at your Students’ Union?
We’re looking for expressions of interest for a variety of upcoming placement roles working across our diverse, ambitious and progressive organisation.
Located in the heart of Manchester, The Union is part business, part charity, part membership body—and central to the student experience at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Our team of around 60 full time and up to 150 part time staff, work alongside elected student leaders to support all aspects of student life. We are committed to supporting all 39,000 of our student members to achieving personal success.
We do this by running a variety of services including sports clubs, societies, change campaigns, volunteering opportunities, student representation and an advice service. We also host events in our conferencing facilities and operate a bar, shop, pub and coffee shop, as well as a range of social spaces and bookable study rooms.
The Union is one of 550 students’ unions across the country. And we’re one of the most exciting—with over 39,000 student members and 100 student groups, a huge range of services and a bold strategy.
The exact opposite of corporate, we’re progressive, creative individuals working to make a difference in unconventional workplaces. In return for your passion and experience, we offer the flexibility for work-life balance, a competitive salary for the non-profit sector and excellent holiday allowance.
We’re committed to equality of opportunity for all. We welcome applications from individuals regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, gender, or disability status.
We want to support diverse and inclusive work environments and are actively looking for people who share our values. We particularly welcome BAME applicants.
